Notifies helpline numbers for redress of public grievances

UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib today said that the district  Udhampur has witnessed a visible decline  in Covid -19 positive  cases  due to comprehensive containment measures  taken by the district administration, even as she said that the fight will continue till the total eradication of the pandemic.

Briefing the media persons about the present Covid -19 scenario in the District, she added that    the virus has not yet been completely eradicated and a caution is needed to prevent the resurge. She added that every day huge rush is being seen in many places and urged the public of the District to maintain social distancing, wear face masks,  and follow hand hygiene

The DC advised the infected persons not to panic and protect themselves and their loved ones from Coronavirus. She urged the suspected Covid positive patients of rural areas to isolate themselves in the Panchayat level isolation centres for quick recovery and safety of family members. She reiterated that Panchayat level isolation centres are well equipped and all requisite facility have been made available in these centres.  She appealed to the general public to adhere to Covid appropriate behavior and follow SOPs issued by Govt from time to time.

While referring to the telemedicine facility, the DC said that training has been completed and telemedicine at PHC level is ready. She said that the general public can book their slot within a week’s time. The DC urged BDCs, DDCs, Councillors and PRIs to  make the people aware  regarding telemedicine facilities in their respective areas.

The DC informed that   the District Administration  has established  5 bedded  Covid Care Centers  in each Panchayat of the District so that those households not  having  the option  for isolation  of Covid positive  patients  in their own residence can stay in those centers.

Regarding the Devika project, the DC said that the District Administration has  established a Devika helpline number 01992-278844. She added that  the helpline  number will  remain open for the general public from 9:30 Am to 6:Pm  and the public can share  their  valuable suggestions and feedback regarding the Devika project .

 To redress public grievances/ Complaints and improve public delivery mechanisms, the general public has been given the facility to lodge their complaints and grievances  on the helpline numbers. For PDD  Sub Division Udhampur 1&2 the help line number is 01992-270792 Chenani 01992-285503 and Ramnagar 9796444123.

The DC said that these helpline numbers will   help the people and mitigate the problems being faced by them . She warned that action will be taken as per the relevant provisions of law if anybody was found not following the COVID-19 protocol.
