UDHAMPUR: To review the progress under Jal Jeevan Mission, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna chaired a meeting of officers and field functionaries of Jal Shakti Department here in the mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
At the outset, SE, Jal Shakti R K Mahajan and Executive Engineer, Ashok Kumar Sharma gave a detailed powerpoint presentation on the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission and role of different departments for effective implementation of the scheme in the district.
While reviewing the Sub Division wise progress of the scheme, the DC said that the Jal Jeevan Mission is a centrally sponsored scheme launched by the government of India with the objective to provide100 percent tap water to all households across the nation.
The DC directed the concerned officers to expedite the pace of work to ensure that the projects are completed well in time to provide necessary benefits to the general public. Concerned officers were directed to visit the rural and far flung areas of the district to get first hand information of the progress of works under JJM scheme. Executing agencies were directed to take effective steps for timely completion of these projects on a mission mode for maximum results on the ground. Necessary directions were issued to the concerned department for uploading the JJM scheme on Parivesh portal.
