UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting here in the DC office Complex to review preparations for the upcoming Unity Day/ UT Foundation Day celebration in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Regional Director Survey and Land Records Udhampur Nawab Din, Additional SP Anwar-Ul-Haq, Chief Planning Officer Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar, and other district and sectoral officers.
During the meeting, the DC instructed the concerned departments to include activities such as a “Run for Unity,” yoga competitions, plantation and cleanliness drives, debates, and painting competitions etc in the week-long celebrations in their respective areas. The police department was tasked with highlighting the advancements made in policing and infrastructure over the past four years, including the introduction of CCTNS digitization and helpline numbers.
Officers from different departments were asked to prepare and execute their activities as per their respective roles to ensure the successful realization of the celebration’s objectives. It was decided that participation from all sections of society, including youth and senior citizens, would be encouraged to infuse the events with enthusiasm and zeal.
The DC also emphasized the importance of timely and thorough preparations to ensure a smooth and enthusiastic celebration of UT Foundation Day.
