REASI: In order to promote youth engagement towards sports, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan inaugurated District Premium League in General Zarowar Singh Sports Stadium which is organised by Hindustan Cricket Club.
While inaugurating the event, the Deputy Commissioner commended the Hindustan Cricket Club for their commendable initiative in organizing and hosting such events.
He emphasized the crucial role of such sporting engagements in aligning with the government’s vision of a Nasha Mukht Bharat, highlighting the importance of engaging youth in constructive activities like sports.
The DC reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to promoting sports and its manifold benefits. He emphasized that sports activities play a pivotal role in the holistic development of youth, impacting their social, physical and mental well-being positively. Furthermore, he underscored how participation in games fosters sportsmanship qualities among individuals, equipping them with essential skills to navigate and succeed in life.
