REASI: To discuss various parameters regarding the road safety, the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Ajay Kumar today held a meeting with the concerned officers.
The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police, Surjeet Kumar; ACR Sanjay Badyal; CMO Rajeev Sharma; CEO Mushtaq Ahmed; ARTO Rajesh Gupta; Xens of PWD and PMGSY and BRO.
Threadbare discussion was held in the meeting with respect to several agenda points including formulation of District Road Safety Plan 2020-21, Investigation of roads by Police department through RADMS App. in order to know the actual reason of accident, Identification of Black Spots/Accidental Prone areas for taking corrective measures/repairs, installation of crash barriers/road signages, removal of encroachments from footpath and roads, organising of Medical camps, Availability of Ambulances on NHW and accidental prone areas for immediate shifting, recommendation for suspension of driving licenses for violation of traffic rules especially over speeding, drunk driving etc.
Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the District Road safety Committee has been constituted with the main objective of reducing road accidents and saving precious human lives and also for better management of traffic within the District. He asked the committee members to work in close coordination and ensure that all the road safety norms are followed by the citizens in the district.
