DC Reasi reviews progress on 132KV double circuit Katra-Reasi-GTL

Sets October-2021 deadline for completion of project

REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh, today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review progress on l32 KV Grid Station.

The meeting was attended by Chief Programme Officer, Sunita Kanchan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sanjay Badyal, Project Manager Sahil Gupta, XEN STD Udhumpur, Roshan Lal, Xen TLMD-5, Umesh Sharma, AEE STD, Katra Surinder Kumar, Ashok Kumar AEE, Reasi, Er.Asgar Hussain S.E.O and MO Batote, J.E Satyapal Singh and Chander Shekhar besides other officers including contractors were also present.

At the outset, the concerned officers briefed the chair about work achievements, progress made on the project and about bottlenecks being faced in the way of execution.

While reviewing the progress on the said project, the concerned officials apprised the DC that the project has two sections, one is Katra-Reasi section and another is Reasi-Gran section.

Inquiring about the progress of work on Katra-Reasi section, the concerned officials apprised that total foundations for 55  towers have been laid with one pending at location 41 due to some land acquisition issue.  

The DC directed the contractor agency to mobilize men and machinery and work in coordination with Xens and JEs so as to execute the work on a fast track basis. He assured that any matter related to land issue will be taken up with the revenue department for early redress.

Regarding the progress on the Reasi-Gran section, it was informed that total 25 foundations  have been laid and out of 30, around 24 Towers  stand erected and the work in Loc.No.2,7,11 and 26 of the section is under progress and will be completed in a stipulated time.

 It was informed that in most of the cases the land acquisition is complete  and the same has been handed over to the concerned authorities while the process of acquisition for  pending cases is also under progress.

The Deputy Commissioner said that with the commissioning of this grid station, the power scenario in the Reasi would improve significantly.
