DC Ramban inspects pace of progress on under construction Yatri Niwas at Chanderkote

RAMBAN:  Deputy Commissioner,  Ramban, Mussarat Islam today visited Chanderkote and inspected the progress of work on under construction Shri Amarnath ji Shrine Board (SASB) Yatri Niwas. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Sharma and other concerned officers also accompanied him.

Besides taking firsthand appraisal of progress on the construction work,  the DC also discussed the issues related to convergence of responsibilities /activities in detail with Contractor and site Engineers.

Site Engineer, AEE CPWD, Surjeet Kumar informed the DC  that 40 percent work on Yatri Niwas dormitories has been completed. He said the foundation work of 9 dormitories has been completed fully and LASB work of two dormitories has already been started, while the Steel framing on Ground floor has been completed on one dormitory.

Further, it was conveyed that 50 percent of dormitories are likely to be handed over to SASB before June 30.

The DC directed the site engineers to expedite works and complete SASB Yatri Niwas as per timeline issued by the Government.

 The Engineers highlighted some local issues and the DC resolved most of them on the spot and passed necessary directions to concerned officers for resolving other issues.  

The DC assured the construction agency of full cooperation of the District Administration in expediting and completion of the prestigious project within the stipulated timeline.

The DC directed construction agencies to strictly adhere to Covid SOPs /guidelines to contain the spread of deadly infection in view of the recent surge in Covid positive cases.
