Appeals for strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs

RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam today chaired a meeting of officers and representatives of Shia Federation here to discuss arrangements for ensuing Muharram-ul-Haram starting from August 10.

Additional Superintendent of Police Rajni Sharma;   ACR Dherinder Sharma; DPO Sunil Buthyal; Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and JPDCL, District Shia Federation President  Murtaja Ali; Secretary Anjuman-e-Imamia Chanderkote Irfan Haider; Owais Shah and other members of Shia federation   attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed various issues projected by the representatives of the Federation for the congregation and special prayers during the holy month of Muharram.

Directions were issued regarding arrangements for power, water supply, renovation of roads, ration supply, firewood, sanitation, Street lighting and Medicare facilities at religious places.

The DC emphasized on strict adherence to Covid Appropriate Behavior in the special prayer meetings held during the Muharram-ul-Haram besides aggressive sampling at Imambaras.

DC instructed Jal Shakti and JPDCL to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, while health department was asked to ensure availability of healthcare facilities besides COVID sampling.

 Municipal authorities were instructed to ensure cleanliness in and around Imambargah Chanderkote. Police and Traffic departments were also asked to provide fool proof security and traffic arrangements during the Muharram days.
