DC Rajouri sees-off first batch of Hajj pilgrims

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad and officers of district administration Rajouri today flagged off the first batch of Hajj Pilgrims here from district headquarters.

A total 110 Hajj pilgrims hailing from different parts of the district left for Srinagar, where from they will board flights for Jeddah.

 Also, present on the occasion were SSP Yougal Manhas, ADC Sher Singh, Addl SP Mohammad Yousuf, ACR A Q Mir, Administrator Auqaf A Q Dar, other district officers, besides family members of the pilgrims.

Earlier, the DC interacted with Hajj pilgrims and wished them a safe journey. He called upon them to take due care while performing the Manasik-e-Haj. He appealed them to pray for peace and prosperity of the state.

The 2nd batch of pilgrims will depart from Rajouri tomorrow on July 19, 2018.
