KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers, Traders, Transporters and other stakeholders to discuss various measures for decongesting the town.
On the occasion, a thorough deliberation on various aspects was held during which the concerned stakeholders presented their feedback/ suggestions for decongesting the town.
During the meeting it was informed that Laroo Bus Stand will be made fully functional.
It was also informed that a massive anti-encroachment drive will be launched across the town to remove encroachments from footpaths.
The DC urged upon the concerned stakeholders to desist from encroachment of public spaces, especially footpaths and warned that encroachers will be put to task.
Present in the meeting were ADC, ACR, ARTO, DySP-HQ, Tehsildar, President and members of transport and trade associations besides President Municipal Council Kulgam.
