DC Kulgam conducts extensive tour of Kund Valley; takes stock of developmental works

KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today conducted an extensive tour of Kund Valley, in the district.

During the visit, the DC took stock of the physical status of hutments raised to accommodate people who suffered during Snow avalanches at Waltengoo earlier.

It was informed that 73 sets have been completed and allotted among beneficiaries while work on 24 sets is in the final stage of completion and 11 huts have been raised to plinth level.

The DC instructed the executing agency to scale up pace of work and complete all quarters, so that the same are allotted to the affected families at an earliest. He also directed RDD to develop the approach road to these huts properly.

Bhat also visited Ziyarat Shareef, Hazrat Syed Noor Shah Wali Baghdadi (RA) at Kund and took stock of developmental works and availability of facilities for devotees there.

He also interacted with Management Committee members and listened to their demands.

Several delegations from kund area also met the Deputy Commissioner during his visit and apprised him about various issues and demands. Youth from area raised demand for playfield in the area.

The DC passed on spot directions to identify the playfield and the Rural Development Department was directed to develop this playfield on priority basis.

He gave a patient hearing to all these issues and demands and said that mitigation of public issues in a time bound manner is the priority of administration.

Later the DC inspected PHC at Waltengoo and took stock of pace and progress of constructional work.

He also inspected patient care services at PHC Razloo.

Earlier the DC visited the Helipad at Kund.
