Asks officers to ensure quality work

KISHTWAR: To review the implementation of the various developmental schemes in the district, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of concerned District officers, here in V.C room.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch; District Social Welfare Officer, Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Chief Medical Officer, Dr R S Manhas, AD Food supplies and Consumer Affairs, G N Lone, besides XEns of PWD, PMGSY and other officers.

The DC Kishtwar took stock of the progress made in the implementation of the ongoing developmental schemes in the district and passed a slew of directions to the concerned officers.

While reviewing the progress made in the Aadhar seeding, the DC asked DSWO to complete the seeding of pending ISSS beneficiaries on mission mode.

The ACD was asked to take up all 2125 works projected in Back to Village Programme for their timeline completion.

To tap the dairy potential of the district, the Chief Animal Husbandry officer was directed to take concrete initiatives to increase the livestock in the district.

Besides, he directed to ensure the 100 percent registration under the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY sehat scheme. He directed CMO to pace up the registration in coordination with the CSCs.

He also reviewed the progress on 13 mega projects which includes the construction of Additional 100 bedded Hospital at DH Kishtwar, constriction of Indoor stadium at girls GHSS Kishtwar, construction of GDC Chatroo, construction of BSC nursing college, provision of dedicated feeder for Machail Shrine, Construction of polytechnic college at Kishtwar and GDC building at Paddar, completion of PMDP rural electrification etc. The DC directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite the pace of work   to complete these projects within the set timeline.

He further stressed upon the Xens of PWD and PMGSY to expedite the pace of construction of various roads taken up and complete them in a time bound manner.

The DC further directed XEn PHE Anil Kaylu to take up the new Water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission to provide tap connections to the 35064 left out households in the district.

The meeting also discussed the issues related to the payment of MGNREGA wages besides assessing the status of the verification of job cards.

The progress on the identification of land for the development of playgrounds, completion of the languishing projects, weeding out the inactive pensioners and job card holders, funding under the PMAY, progress of poshan abhiyan and deliverance of designated public services were also discussed in the meeting.
