‘PRI plan of Rs 86 crore finalized to ramp up economic activities’

JAMMU: Recoveries stand to outnumber the daily new cases and decreasing trend in positive cases also continues in Jammu district. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg today during the press briefing.

The Deputy Commissioner said that due to the decreasing trend in positive cases, the District Administration has opened Super Speciality Hospital and Psychiatric Hospital for non Covid health services and surgeries.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that over 1800  people in 45+ and Divyang category have registered themselves in online-survey for vaccination in Jammu district only. He said that the District Administration will soon reach out to these people for vaccination.

The Deputy Commissioner also Informed that a PRI plan of Rs 86 crore has been finalized and sent to the finance department to take up more than 5 thousand works under different schemes like B2V, MGNREGA, 14 FC- in a bid to ramp up the economic activities.

Anshul Garg also appealed to the people to avail benefits of the Covid Care Centres activated at all 305 Panchayats which have 5 bedded facilities with one oxygenated bed.

He again appealed to the people to keep following the restrictions and SOPs/guidelines issued by the Administration as they are for their own protection from Covid-19.
