UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today presided over a crucial meeting in the Mini Conference Hall to discuss the plan for the establishment of new industrial estates and promotion of One District One Product (ODOP) initiative in the district.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral; GM DIC, Pankaj Anand, all SDMs, and other officers attended the meeting.
The DC sought information about existing and proposed industrial estates in the district. She directed the officers to form a team comprising officers from DIC, Revenue, and the respective SDMs to visit potential sites and assess the feasibility of land for establishing new industrial estates. The GM DIC was tasked with creating a comprehensive District Investment Plan, outlining suitable locations for different types of industries.
The ACR was instructed to identify and allocate land parcels exceeding 100 kanals to the Industry Department for the establishment of industrial estates.
