BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Saturday toured Naidkhai belt of Bandipora district and visited the last village of the district bordering Baramulla district.
The DC was accompanied by Chairman District Development Council Ab. Gani Bhat, SSP Bandipora Mohammad Zahid, District officers from R&B Jal Shakti, RDD and other line departments.
During the visit, the DC inspected various ongoing developmental works including the under-construction Bridge at Naidkhai which connects Naidkhai with Baramulla. He asked concerned agency to speed up the pace of work for its timely completion and directed concerned officers to ensure completion of other pending works within stipulated time.
Dr Owais interacted with the people and members of Panchayat Raj Institutions and listened to their grievances. They apprised the DC about various issues of public interest. Dr Owais passed on spot directions for redressal of various grievances while he assured the delegation that all the grievances shall be taken up for quick redressal.
At the last village of the district-Kanyari, Dr Owais gave patient hearing to the people and listened to the public grievances. He assured the people that he will personally monitor all their demands for their redressal in a phased manner.
