KISHTWAR: CVPPPL, under its CSR initiative, has incurred Rs. 42.58 lakh on various CSR activities aimed at strengthening the Healthcare Sector and Education Sector for the overall benefit of the local populace of District Kishtwar.
As per the concerned officials, this year, a total of 09 schools in project affected areas were strengthened by CVPPPL under its CSR initiative by providing teaching aids, seating arrangements, sports material, storage facilities, drinking water storage and purification facilities, etc. with a total expenditure of Rs. 14.67 lakh.
Similarly, under Healthcare Sector and Disaster Management Sector, medical equipments and other material including one fully automatic Anaesthesia Work Station was provided to District Hospital Kishtwar and one X-Ray machine to Primary Health Centre,Kiru at a total expenditure of Rs. 27.91 lakh. In March and April 2020 also, CVPPPL assisted District Administration in combating COVID-19 pandemic by providing the necessary equipments and other items for use by healthcare professionals and patients.
All the CSR activities were implemented separately by Pakal Dul, Kiru and Kwar Hydroelectric Projects of CVPPPL in District Kishtwar with implementation of the last activity for this financial year being completed on March 29, 2021.
Since FY 2017-18, CVPPPL has been continuously undertaking CSR activities in Kishtwar and has strengthened a total of 32 schools and various health care establishments in its project affected areas. Total expenditure of more than 75 lac rupees has so far been incurred by CVPPP Lunder CSR.
The efforts of CVPPPL through its CSR initiative shall surely strengthen the education and healthcare services in the area for the overall benefit of the local inhabitants.
