Congress concerned over attempts to revive militancy in Poonch -Rajouri

Jammu: Expressing shock over the martyrdom of a JCO and a Jawan in B G sector last evening, Congress has expressed concern over the revival of militancy in the twin border districts of Poonch-Rajouri.JK

PCC Chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has expressed deep shock over the marryrdom of two soldiers within 60 hours after five jawans got martyred in Surankote area of Poonch.The two incidents are alarming as already around half a dozen terror  incidents and encounters have taken place in the recent past in this border belt signaling revival of militancy. 

Lauding the bravery and sacrifices of the army and security forces including JK police in combating terrorism in the twin districts, the party sought more attention towards this region.The security apparatus should be further beefed up with strict vigil on the vital stations besides plugging of infiltration routes.

He said that people have been reporting massive infiltrations from various villages in sunderbani belt in the recent months which appears to be genuine in view of the recent incidents and Pakistan visibly succeeded in pushing in terrorists in the area to revive militancy in this border belt.
