KULGAM: Commissioner Surveys and Land Records (S&LR), Shahnawaz Bukhari today visited Kulgam and convened a meeting of Revenue Officers and Officials here to review ongoing digitization and updation of revenue records.
The Commissioner reviewed the progress in detail with regard to updation of Jamabandies and the digitization of the revenue records.
On the occasion ACR, Kulgam, Mir Imtiyaz-Ul- Aziz through a power point presentation apprised the chair about the progress achieved so-far in all Tehsils.
The Commissioner on the occasion highlighted the significance of the digitisation of land records and directed the concerned to ensure completion of pending updation and digitisation of land records within set timeframe.
He said that the objective of the whole process is to make the accessibility to land records at fingertips of people and shifting to digitisation will bring transparency in the system.
Among others the meeting was attended by Tehsildars along with Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars, Patwaris of the district.
