AWANTIPORA: Clashes erupted between government forces and students of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) here in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that students of IUST assembled at the campus and staged a pro-freedom demonstration against the killing of top commander Manan Wani and his associate by the government forces in an encounter last week.
The students shouting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans tried to march outside the campus. However, as soon as they came out of the university campus government forces intercepted them.
