SHOPIAN: A civilian was killed and several others injured in clashes with the government forces in Kapran area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.
Reports said that Noman Ashraf Bhat of Bolsoo village was injured after being hit by a bullet in clashes with the forces near the site of a gunfight in Batgund village of Kapran.
Bhat, according to an official, was shifted to district hospital Kulgam where he was declared dead on arrival.
Clashes erupted in the area following the killing of six militants in a gunfight with the forces.
