Prof Veena reviews functioning of SCERT

Asks faculty to work as team to achieve excellence in education

JAMMU: Chairperson JKBOSE, Prof. Veena Pandita, also holding the charge of Director State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) today visited SCERT office at Muthi, Jammu to take first hand appraisal of its functioning.

During the visit, Prof. Pandita interacted with the faculty members of SCERT, to have an overview of its functioning. She also visited various departments of SCERT to take stock of the measures put in place by the School Education Department.

She emphasized that the main role of SCERT, apart from other functions, is to have qualitative improvement of school education. She stressed that entire department needs to work as a  team  to achieve the envisaged objectives and goals of excellence in  education. She also said that SCERT will provide academic and resource support at grass- roots level to improve the learning levels of the students. 

She also chaired a meeting with the functionaries of SCERT and discussed various  measures and modalities to strengthen the education system in the present circumstances  and to submit a detailed work done report & future plan of action.

Prof. Pandita was accompanied by Assistant Director, JKBOSE Dr. Yasir  Hamid Sinwal; Academic Officers Ranjit Singh Manhas, Suresh Kumar Gouria and Dr.  Anuradha Sharma.
