RAMBAN: To extend the governance to public at their doorstep, District Administration today organized Block-Diwas meetings in five designated blocks including Sangaldan, Banihal, Ukhral, Batote and Ramban.
The DDC Members, BDC Chairpersons, PRIs and locals highlighted their issues, most of which were resolved on-spot by the concerned departments with the intervention of SDMs, Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
All the Tehsildars, BDOs and Block Level Officers attended the meeting in their respective blocks.
While chairing the weekly Block-Diwas meeting, SDM Banihal, Zaheer Abass Bhat directed the Engineers of Jal Shakti and JPDCL to complete the ongoing power and water supply works in new buildings of Emergency Hospital, Banihal so that it can be made functional for the convenience of public. TSO Banihal was directed to ensure regular and proper ration supply to people besides stocking the same in stores as per guidelines.
At Ramban people sought clearance of pending payments under MG-NERGA and 14 FC, besides raised issues pertaining to Power, Jal Shakti, Agriculture and Horticulture departments. The concerned departments were directed resolve the issues in a time bound maanner.
The People also highlighted their issues during similar meetings at Sangaldan, Ukharal and Batote and sought early redressal of the same.
