Weekly block Diwas held across District Kishtwar

KISHTWAR: Amid the inclement weather conditions, the block diwas programme was today held at all the designated places of district Kishtwar.

The main programme was held here at conference hall DC office complex under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner,   Ashok Sharma.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Shafqat Hussain Bhat; Block Development Council chairperson Kishtwar Suresh Sharma; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch; District Social Welfare Officer, Tariq Parveaz Qazi besides other District and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.

The BDC chairman and other PRI members projected grievances and demands pertaining to their respective blocks and Panchayats.

The main issues highlighted in the programme were the testing of water samples in the block Kishtwar, repair of 25 hand pumps in the Panchayat Pochhal, expediting the construction work on Hatta-Pochhal road, issues related to the dumping of the solid waste  in  Poochhal area, bottlenecks in laying and fitting the water supply pipe for Poochal, pending land and structure  compensation, renovation of  the water reservoir at Semana, black topping of Ram Mandir-Semana road, issues related to approaching road to HS Banderna, rationalisation of staff in various government schools of block Kishtwar, maintenance of hygiene and cleanliness at water reservoirs, timely payments of MGNREGA wages, registration of new houses within the Municipal Limits, early taking up of the works under the “My Town My pride” , maintenance of proper drainage alongside the NHIDCL from bus stand to Malipeth; unavailability of building and construction material in the district etc.

The other grievances highlighted were the expediting the process of changing the vendors in RDD sectors, distribution of solar  lights under B2V and FC 14, payment of compensation for damaged Saffron crop, rationlizing of the electricity Bills etc.

After listening to the grievances, the DC   redressed most of them on the spot and passed a slew of directions to the concerned for the same.

On the water related issues, he directed the XEn Jal Shakti to look into the issues and make all out efforts to redress these grievances. He asked the PRIs to play a proactive role in  sensitising and making the masses aware about the COVISHIELD Vaccination and COVID-19 protocols.

He added that committees have been framed who are monitoring the recruitment process in the HEPP and also asked PRIs to aware the youth  to login with the recently launched “Kaushal Pahachan” mobile App  so that the database for the skilled and unskilled youths in the district could be generated for the employment in HEPP.

The CEO Kishtwar was asked to constitute the committee which shall monitor the fees charged by the private schools besides shall regulate other issues pertaining to the enforced purchase of books and uniform from schools.

Besides DC Kishtwar informed that the registration of the beneficiaries for the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY sehat scheme will be conducted in mission mode in each panchayat and the 100% registration will be completed by 15 May 2021.

On the occasion, immunity boosters were also distributed among all the participants by the ISM ,AYUSH   under the overall supervision of Dr Tariq Hussain. The awareness about the mode of consumption and dosage were also imparted to the participants.

Similar programme was held at Udeel block Chatroo under the chairmanship of SDM  Inderjeet Singh Parihar. 

10 Income certificates, 15 Domicile certificate and 01 EWS certificate was distributed among the beneficiaries.

At block headquarter Paddar, block diwas programme was held under the chairmanship of SDM, Varunjeet Singh Charak. 

Around 19 Domicile certificates, 05 category certificates and 01 character certificate was issued on the spot.

Similarly, 19 Income certificates, 40 Domicile Certificates, 06 category, 06 legal Heir certificates, besides 32 Adhaar seeding were conducted at the block Diwas programme at Drabshalla under the supervision of Tehsildar Drabshalla Arun Kumar Sharma.
