DDC Anantnag visits Quarantine Centre at Pahalgam

Takes stock of the arrangements

ANANTNAG: The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar today visited Quarantine Centre Pahalgam to take stock of arrangement, where 50 students, who have returned from Bangladesh, have been Quarantined to avert the infection.

The DDC was informed that all the basic facilities including healthcare and sanitation have been made available at the Quarantine centre and the students expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements.

Pertinently, 40 more students from the other districts including Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama with foreign travel history have been sent to the Quarantine centre at Pahalgam.

The DDC said that the students coming via Srinagar Air Port will be sent to Quarantine Centre Pahalgam.  

He said that as the National Highway has been closed and Air Services have been suspended there is no possibility of entry of any new person with foreign travel history to the Valley and the people with foreign travel history from Anantnag district have been directed to inform the nearest control rooms voluntarily to avoid the risk and stern action will be initiated against the violators.
