KARGIL: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary on Thursday visited Community Health Centre (CHC) Padum to review the stock of the health facilities available to patients in the health institution.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kargil, Dr Ibrahim Khan, Executive Engineer PWD Zanskar, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Zanskar and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
The DC went around various wards and sections of the hospital including the Out Patient Department (OPD), Wards, Casualty Block, Dispensary, Labour Room, General Drug Store, X-ray Room and other sections there.
During the visit Choudhary interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about the status of the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients undergoing treatment at the CHC. He asked the doctors on duty to ensure that best possible medical attention is provided to the patients. The DC also discussed various other important issues related to the development of the hospital and up-gradation of the existing health facilities with the hospital management.
The DC directed officials to maintain the record of patients in computerized form. He also stressed on proper maintenance of records regarding the issuance of medicines to patients visiting the health institution.
The DC directed the CMO to issue Autoclave for Minor OT section within 2 days time besides also ensuring the availability of dental material for root canal treatment and filling in due course of time. He asked the health functionaries to discharge their allotted duties with utmost dedication and commitment in providing best possible healthcare facilities to the public.
Meanwhile, Choudhary also took stock of the pace of work on the construction of Operation Theatre (OT) Section of CHC Zanskar. The DC was informed that the Central Heating Room of the OT section has been completed at a cost of Rs 62 lacs while as work on the OT Block is being carried out in full swing.
