Baramulla Administration reviews Revenue matters

BARAMULLA: The district administration Baramulla Thursday took stock of revenue matters and reviewed the functioning of the Revenue department in the district.

The administration headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Ahsan Mir chaired a meeting of concerned functionaries to review issues pertaining to the Revenue department.

On the occasion, threadbare discussion on the subject was held wherein ACR briefed the meeting about the functioning of the department.

The meeting was apprised about the current status of Jamabandies, land records digitisation programme, attestation of mutations among other necessary revenue processes in the district.

Highlighting the role of revenue officials, the ADC said that these functionaries had a pivotal role in the overall functioning of the administration and stressed upon the concerned to work with zeal and dedication for the better public service delivery.

Moreover, he directed for prioritizing the work of Jamabandi strictly in conformity with the standing instructions and said that updated Jamabandies are the pre-requisite for the implementation of the land records digitization program.

The ADC also directed the concerned officers to properly identify the kah-charai and state land in the respective areas besides, stressed for accelerating the process of encroachment removal.

He also emphasised upon the Tehsildars to issue domicile certificates to the eligible citizens within the shortest possible time.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ACR Baramulla, Tehsildars, and other revenue officers and officials.
