Srinagar: All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC), an amalgam of Sikh parties, on Tuesday extended their support to Article 35-A, terming the article as ‘sacred for people for Kashmir.’
The APSCC held a protest demonstration at Pratap Park here against the attempts to abrogate article 35-A.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman APSCC, Jagmohan Singh Raina said Article 35-A is an emotional issue for all Kashmiris.
“We think New Delhi got the message when the whole J&K observed shutdown against the abrogation of article 35-A,” Raina said.
He said all the people of Kashmir are united on the matter and any attempt to abrogate the legislation will bear dangerous consequences both for Delhi and Kashmir.
“People of Kashmir are emotionally attached to the issue and all are united in this fight,” Raina added.
The protest was also attended by chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Muhammad Yasin Malik.
