RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today convened a meeting here to discuss the arrangements for the Shab-e-Bharat.
A detailed discussion on various arrangements like security, maintenance of law and order, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, medicare, checking of rates and quality of eatables besides deployment of fire tenders was held threadbare in the meeting.
The Jal Shakti and PDD departments were directed to ensure continuous water and power supply throughout the festival.
The DC also directed the concerned officers from the FCS & CA and Legal Metrology to step up market monitoring in order to prevent overpricing, profiteering, and black-marketing.
The officer of the fire and emergency department was instructed to keep the fire tenders on alert throughout the day and night. EO MC has been directed to keep the town clean during the festival.
He also directed the concerned officer from the Health Department to keep all medical facilities available for the public in case of an emergency.
The DC directed the officers to synergize their efforts in order to ensure smooth celebrations of Shab-e-Bharat across the district.
The meeting was attended by the ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; Tehsildar Rajouri, Varinder Sharma; TSO Rajouri, Ashok Kumar besides religious leaders and traders including Rajesh Gupta; Mualana Farooq; Tazeem Dar; Asief Bhatt; Maulana Murawat; Mualana Altaf; Mulana Iqbal and Mohd Yousuf.
