TRAL: An army soldier was wounded as a gunfight broke out in Nazneenpora area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
Reports said that a massive search operation was launched by the government forces following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
They said that militants, believed to be three in number, opened fire on the forces as the latter approached the house they were hiding in.
The forces retaliated, triggering a fierce gunfight.
Meanwhile, clashes have erupted near the gunfight site and main town Tral. Reports said that youth pelted the forces with stones to disrupt the anti-militant operation near the gunfight site.
