An interactive session and a guest lecture was organized for the Tourism Students of Department of Management Studies University of Kashmir here on Saturday.
In his welcome address, Head of the Department Prof. Mushtaq A. Darzi delivered a brief introduction about Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kulshreshtha, Director, Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) and flagged his contributions towards the development of Indian tourism sector.
He also talked about the various activities conducted by the Department for the professional development of the students.
The session was delivered by Prof. Sandeep, on the topic “Changing Dimensions and Advancements in Tourism and Hospitality- Way Ahead…?”.
Prof. Sandeep talked about several emerging trends in tourism and hospitality sector and the way ahead for the professionals in this sector.
Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Shahnawaz, Coordinator Tourism Programme of the Department.
Meanwhile a one day STUDENT’s workshop on the topic “Tourism and Jobs: A better future for all” in the Tourism Block of the Department as a series of student development initiatives conducted by the department from time to time.
The workshop was a student driven initiative to inculcate leadership and team building skills among them.
