Home Minister Amit Shah tests positive for COVID-19

NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, he informed in a tweet. Shah, 55, stated this on his Twitter handle.

“I have undergone a coronavirus test after showing initial symptoms and have tested positive. My health is fine but I am getting admitted to a hospital on the advice of doctors,” he tweeted.

The home minister also requested those who had come in contact with him in the last few days to get tested for coronavirus and isolate themselves.

“On getting the initial symptoms of corona, I got the test done and the report came back positive. My health is fine, but I am being admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors. I request that all of you who have come in contact with me in the last few days, please isolate yourself and get your inquiry done,” Shah tweeted in Hindi.

Shah has been shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.
