UDHAMPUR: The arrangements for the holy month of Ramzan were today discussed here at a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Mohammad Syed Khan.
District heads of key departments and civil society members attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the ADC directed the PHE department to ensure adequate supply of water at different Mosques across the District during the Ramzan. Executive Engineer PDD was asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply, especially in the early morning and evening hours.
Regarding the security arrangements, representative of Police was asked to ensure the same. The ADC instructed Chief Executive Officer, MC to ensure cleanliness around the mosques. He further directed the officers from CAPD department to ensure adequate stock of ration and check on rates of essential commodities.
The observance of COVID-19 SOPs like maintain social distancing, wearing face mask, using hand sanitizer, washing hands with soap frequently for preventing the spread of the Corona Virus was stressed upon.
A committee comprising Tehsildar, AD FCS &CA, CEO MC, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Food Safety Officer, was constituted to keep a check on the quality and prices of the eatables during the Holy month.
In addition to this, SDMs of various sub divisions of the district were directed to hold similar meetings in their respective sub-divisions to finalize adequate arrangements.
The meeting was attended by all SDMs & Tehsildars, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Executive Engineer PHE, PWD, Dy SP DAR, and other officers of various departments.
