KUPWARA: On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone who also holds the charge of District Programme Officer, ICDS today convened a meeting of CDPOs and reviewed the functioning of Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) in the district.
It was informed in the meeting that 80,490 are registered in all 2320 Anganwadi Centres of the district. It was also informed that Rs 330.58 lakh expenditure has been incurred on acquisition of nutrition during the year. Besides, Rs.102.03 lakh have been spent on 3580 school dropout girls during the current financial year.
The ADC, on the occasion directed the concerned to work with added zeal for holistic and effective implementation of ICDS schemes in the district.
