ANANTNAG: After the successful completion of DDC elections, the Governments outreach programme, Block/Subdivision Dews resumed today here in Anantnag. In this regard, programmes were held in District Headquarter and four subdivisions viz Pahalgam, Bijbehara, Kokernag and Dooru where officers from District administration and line departments took up the grievances of the public for their speedy disposal.
In District Headquarter, the programme was Chaired by ADC Anantnag Sheikh Ghulam Hassan wherein delegations from Panchayat Halqas Shoul, Lalan and Ruhoo put forth their demands. On spot directions were issued by the chair to the line departments for redressal of these demands.
In subdivisions, the programmes were Chaired by respective SDMs, who listened to demands of the public and issued on the spot instructions for their timely disposal. Category certificates, domicile certificates etc were also distributed to the beneficiaries during these programmes.
Among others, the programmes were attended by Tehsildars, BDOs, PRI and ULB members, auqaf and civil society members and general public.
The programme will continue on every Wednesday of the next month in the district.
