Shopian: A 24 year-old man was killed by militants after he accepted that he was working foe an army major and that he had provided information about the four militants who were killed in an encounter in the district.
The militants released a video soon after the body of youth identified as Tanveer Ahmed Dar of Bemnipora Shopian at Kachdoora village, as per the reports.
SSP Shopian said that militants killed one civilian Tanvir Ahmed Dar son of Muhammad Abdullah Dar of Bemnipora.”His body was found in Kachdoora village and case has been registered,” he said.
In the 52 second video, Tanvir says that was in touch with the army major and on his information four militants were killed.
Soon after the incident a joint team of army and SOG launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area to nab the assailants.
