SRINAGAR: Seventeen persons were injured in clashes with the security forces near the site of a gunfight in Adkhara village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
Reports said that three out of seventeen persons hit by pellets were referred to a hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment.
One among the injured has suffered a bullet injury in his leg following which he was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Earlier, the killing of three militants during a gunfight with the security forces in triggered violent protests in Adkhara.
An official said the security forces called off the operation following the killing of three militants.
