SHOPIAN: According to the Executive Engineer PHE Division Shopian in reference news item ‘Many Shopian Villages without water supply’ published in daily Greater Kashmir newspaper mentioning of non-availability of drinking water in Vishroo Bala village and Kumar mohalla Zraken.
It is reported that the village has got a spring source for supplying water at its present location at Zraken as the existing pipe network is decades old and is in dilapidated condition which causes discharge losses thereby causing water crisis in tail end areas and higher reaches.
To suffice the area quantity as well as quality wise, a new scheme viz. WSS Nasserpora is ongoing under NRDWP head with tube well as source. The scheme is targeted for completion for FY 2021-22.
