UDHAMPUR: The ICDS functionaries of Udhampur district today attended a web seminar conducted by the Ministry Of Women and Child Development GOI as part of National Girl Child Week and Multi Sectrol intervention under BBBP scheme.
The web seminar was attended by DPO ICDS, Attar Chand; CDPOs; staff of MSK, Supervisors, Health Nutrition Mobilizers, AWWs, ANMs, ASHAs and officials of ICDS Projects on the topic “Gender Stereotypes in Development of cognitive capacities” at DPO Office Udhampur.
Later, a seminar was held in the DPO office premises on the topic of PC&PNDT Act, Health Nutrition which was attended by the field functionaries of Health and ICDS department.
Dr. Somraj, Senior Expert from Health Department as a faculty member and Dr. Priya Gupta, Medical Officer, CMO Office Udhampur delivered lectures on the topic.
Jyoti Pathania, Women Welfare Officer Mahila Shakti Kendra and Priya Jamwal, Health & Nutrition Mobilizer ICDS department also spoke on the topic Health and Nutrition.
The Key-Note address was delivered by the Nodal Officer, BBBP Attar Chand, District Programme Officer ,ICDS Udhampur, regarding declining Child Sex Ratio(CSR) and Sex Ratio at Birth (SRB) in the District.
He briefed about the BBBP scheme and the interventions like mass communication campaign, capacity building and multi sectoral interventions made at various levels to improve the CSR and SRB .
