Wake up to contain worsening situation in kashmir- Rajni to Govt

Jammu: AICC Incharge J and K affairs Smt Rajni Patil MP today hit out at the BJP government for the it’s total  failure to handle the kashmir situation which  is at its worst after 1990 where the minorities and all other peace loving  people are feeling unsafe and insecure today. Addressing a well attended  workers rally in the border village on Bishnah road ,near Miransahib, Smt Patil strongly lashed out at the centre  government and BJP for the worst ever situation after 90’s , in view of the series of selective and targetted killings leading to atmosphere of great fear of loosing their life and that   of dear ones , who are on the verge of fresh migration.

On this occassion  prominent social activist Adv Deepika Singh Shekhwat joined the congress party along with large number of her supporters. She was welcomed into the party by Rajni Patil , JKPCC chief G A Mir and several other senior leaders present on the dias.

AICC Leader questioned the BJP for its utter failure to ensure the safety on innocents in Kashmir when the law and order is directly under home ministry as UT and narrated the pain and feeling of insecurity of the families of the victims and others in Kashmir.

She strongly condemned the government and administration for failing to shift the dead body of the martyred poor labour from Bihar,whose family and daughters could not see his face last time.She asked the gathering to maintain brotherhood at all costs as congress and it’s leadership stands for strengthening the nation amidst its pluralistic character and great diversity. She appreciated Deepika shekhwat fir choosing to join the cadres of congress to fight the communal and divisive politics of BJP.

JKPCC chief G A Mir welcomed Rajni Patil who arrived here today first time after becoming Rajya sabha member to share the grief of the victims of the terrorists violence in recent attacks.He thanked congress high command for strengthening her hands to help the congress party in Jammu and Kashmir in this difficult times.

Mir also welcomed Depika for choosing to join congress to serve the people with a vision and to strengthen brotherhood as congress alone can maintain unity in diversity and take the country on the path of peace, progress and harmony.He expressed great concern over the deteriorated situation in Kashmir due to the wrong policies of BJP government and its mishandling and misreading the situation.

He said Jammu has always maintained the age old traditions of brotherhood against great provocations.R S Pura has given a unique example of secularism in the past. Likewise kashmiriyat  too is known for composite culture and mutual co existance but some enemical forces are destroying that culture.

The minorities are feeling unsafe and threatened, while all other peace loving citizens, too have become victims of targetted killings and are feeling insecure. Bjp government can’t escape responsibility for the present mess abd current security situation in the valley and elsewhere.He said the downgrading of the Dogra state was a historical blunder and the people in all parts  and all sections are  facing the brunt of the situation while terrorism has raised its ugly head .  He also reffered to the crushing of farmers and said people are fearing for life under BJP regime.Earlier in the beginning,PCC Chief asked the gathering to stand in the honour of those martyred in Kashmir by terrorists and two minutes silence was observed for peace to their souls.

PCC Vice president Mula Ram in his address reminded the people about the rich secular traditions and belief of people of the area who crated an example in the by elections in 1984  and cautioned the people about the communal politics of BJP. Raman Bhalla vice president and former Minister lashed out at BJP for total failure to handle Kashmir and ensure the safety of innocents and check the targetted killings of minorities and others for quite sone time.Whuke in opposition BJP leaders used to question such killings but today when situation is returning to nineties, they are only issuing statements and are paper tigers.

He asked for stern and effective measures to arrest the worsening situation.,Chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, General Secretaries  Th Balwan Singh Yogesh Sawhney, DCC President Rural Hari Singh Chib,Former Minister Shabir Ahmed Khan ,IYC incharge Mr Gaga , PYC president Udey Chib , Pawan Raina , Shashi Sharma  Suresh Dogra, Pankaj Dogra, Karan Bhagat, Masood Chaudhary,  Ch Dwarka ,Satish Sharma, Rajveer Singh, S Gajan Singh, Sahil Sharma, Ricky Dalotra Gurmeet Kour,  Mohan chaudharyJatinder Bhagat and several other prominent leaders attended.

Earlier  Deepika Singh Rajawat while addressing the gathering lambasted the BJP for its divisive and politics and said that the right wing party is out to divide the pluralistic society of our country on religious lines for vote bank politics.

She said only Congress party can lead the nation on the path of unity and defeat the attempts to create  communal divide for vote politics . She said under  leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi the Congress party only can keep the social and secular fabric of the country and fight the communal and divisive forces in the country and Create atmosphere of peace , harmony and economic progress.
