TRAL: At least two rounds of funeral prayers were held for slain militant Danish Khaliq Dar at his ancestral Pinglish village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.

Thousands of people attended the funeral prayers held twice to accommodate the huge rush of mourners.

The mourners raised pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans during the funeral.

Dar was killed along with two associates – Adil Akram Lone of Midoora Tral and a non-local militant – in a gunfight with government forces in Nazneenpora area of Tral yesterday.

The house in which the militants were hiding was razed to rubble by the government forces by the use of explosive devices. The shocking footage of the moment house was blown up was caught on tape.
