Two-Day Yuva Vani 2.0 Training Programme under JKCIP for Youth Clubs held at Shopian

SHOPIAN: To strengthen youth engagement, skill development and entrepreneurial participation in agriculture and allied sectors, a two-day capacity-building training programme commenced today at Shopian for identified Youth Clubs of the district under Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project.

The training programme was organised by the Department of Agriculture Shopian with Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone presiding over the inaugural session.

The programme aims to empower youth club members, enhance their community leadership skills and strengthen their participation in local development processes.

During the inaugural session, the ADDC highlighted the significance of youth engagement in shaping a progressive farming society and appreciated the efforts of the participants for their active involvement.

The ADDC urged the participants to utilize the training to positively influence their communities, promote constructive activities and contribute to grassroots developmental initiatives.

Officials from various departments and resource persons from KVK Shopian delivered technical sessions on youth mobilization, communication skills, community development, social awareness and public service linkages. The trainees were also briefed about opportunities available under different government schemes aimed at youth empowerment. 

As part of the awareness campaign, educational Booklets were also distributed among youth clubs, ensuring that the youth receive comprehensive information and remain well-informed.

CAO, CHO, DSHO, representatives from KVK, officers/officials from line departments and other concerned also participated in the training programme.
