Hands on Training on NGDRS, e-stamping begins at Srinagar

Training would upscale capabilities for online registration of properties: AIGR

SRINAGAR: A week long Hands on Training programme on National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) and e-stamping began here today.

Under phase I of the training programme, the Registrars and Sub-Registrars of Budgam and Ganderbal districts along with  their supporting staff would be imparted training while the Registrars and Sub-Registrars of Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam and Anantnag districts shall be trained under phase II and phase III of the programme in coming days.

Speaking during the inaugural ceremony of the programme, Additional Inspector General of Registration, Kashmir, Gulzar Ahmad Shabnum said that the training programme is aimed at up scaling the capabilities of officers and officials of Registration department for complete switchover to online registration of properties in the valley for better  facilitation of the citizens besides removing any ambiguities of the present registration process.

Gulzar Shabnam further said that through NGDRS, citizens can upload their documents on website domain  ngdrs.gov.in  once the online registration takes off by the end of this month in all districts of the Valley. 

AIGR, Kashmir  asked the participants to take maximum benefit of the practical training programme and  act as Master Trainers to train the  entire human resource of the department in their respective places.

On  inaugural day of training programme, Rajesh D.Bhusra, Scientist, Software Development Unit (SDU) Pune gave a power point presentation on introduction of NGDRS  through virtual mode, while as Harmandeep Singh expert of Stockholding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL) gave a live demonstration on e-stamping.

Earlier, Registrar Srinagar, Masarat Hashim, shared the post online registration experiences of Srinagar district with the participants and asked them to take advantage of these experiences and move to online mode in an easiest way.

During the programme, Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, Tehsildar in the office of Financial Commissioner  Revenue gave a live demonstration on mode of online registration of properties under NGDRS with the assistance of SDU Pune and NIC J&K.

The participants expressed their gratitude to Inspector General Registration, J&K, Dr. Pawan Kotwal for arranging the training at Srinagar.
