REASI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Regional Office (RO)- Delhi today hosted a Capacity Building Workshop for Consumer Organisations (COs) from the Northern Zone, including Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir here at Katra.
The event brought together representatives from leading COs, distinguished guests and key TSPs to foster collaboration and share insights.
Joint Advisor TRAI, RO Delhi Rajesh Tripathi underscored the importance of continuous knowledge-building among COs. He emphasized that well-informed COs play a crucial role in effectively communicating vital consumer information at the grassroots level.
Highlighting TRAI’s initiative to hold the workshop in Katra, he also stressed the urgent need to raise public awareness about cyber hygiene, the benefits of the TRAI DND 3.0 App and emphasized the need to rate private and government properties through TRAI approved Digital Connectivity Rating Agencies (DCRAs).
During the workshop, COs highlighted the impactful Consumer Awareness Programmes conducted over the past year. TSPs also showcased their efforts to protect consumer interests and shared updates on their Consumer Education Workshops to uphold the views of TRAI .
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks from Senior Research OfficerTRAI Sushil Kumar Bansal. He appreciated the participants’ valuable contributions and commitment to enhancing consumer protection in the telecom sector.
