S Tahir Abu Syed Aflah:

“Baba do you know today we had a fun day, we were taken to the new world, that is called ‘K V Gulmarg’ we played football, cricket, badminton, rope skipping, and much more, we learned a lot by playing with each other, even though we were given things in refreshment like, Banana, Biscuits, Jalabi, Juice and Water”, said Aflah.

Fun with children takes parents back to their own childhood when we were children, as parents we had hardly gets the time to make fun out of fun with our funny children, as life has become very much busy with our daily tight schedules which has actually kept us at bay from social contacts, meeting with our near and dear ones, interaction, chit, chats as we used to do so when we were children.

Life without children is like ‘a bird in the cage’ who wishes to fly high but can’t as the wings are caged, with no reason of smile and outer world. Time demands to spend some precious moments with our
children who are the reason of treasure of love and wisdom.

There are hundreds of government and private schools in valley, who are imparting education to the children, but there are few who are not only providing education, but they are also shaping the future of tiny tots.

Meanwhile here is a school where parents believe that their future generation is in safe hands that can compete in advanced age of science and technology, and among those schools there is an army school,
who is not only giving them education but also develops their mental capabilities besides co-curricular activities at Jhelum Breeze Army Public School (JBAPS) Baramulla, and this school has created an
environment of love, patriotism, zeal and zest among kids, who really thinks high like stars in the sky.

Going back to this school, JBAPS-Baramulla was established in 1989, this school has almost an enrollment of 167 students, who are being looked after by around 10 teachers, besides they have also 3 non-teaching staff.

Afroza Syed, mother of Aflah Syed said that, I had been myself a teacher and believes that teachers can play a pivotal role in overall development of student, and they are the one who take children close to
their goals.

“A successful school is one where teachers see and discovers what their student or children needs, and accordingly they works on that, they help these students in social and emotional developments,
creativity and innovations, positive attitudes to learning is need of the hour in present scenario, and thanks that is found in JBAPS,” suggests Afroza Syed.

It is said that the best teachers are those who show children where to look, but don’t tell them what to see.

Nonetheless JBAPS-Baramulla is under the supervision of disciplined force Army; where all the children without any discrimination of caste, region, religion, creed or sex are pursuing their education and these tiny tots are feeling proud of their school.

“Yes I am very proud of my school, I love my teachers, they are very friendly with all the students, even though we have been taught how to respect our elders, senior citizens, and we enjoys our classes, we
takes part in reading, writing, drawing competition, Eid celebrations, and in other programs also, said Aflah Syed, a student of JBAPS.

It is believed that army schools and especially JBAPS Baramulla has been successful yield better-than- anticipated results, they have been bringing the best out of every student regardless of background.

The school teachers help students to discover talent that students have, be it their hobby or interests of learning, guides them as their parents which helps them to understand the real meaning of school life.

As we all know that teachers follow students through each pivotal stage of development, teachers spends at least six to eight hours a day, five days a week, with their students, and they are the influential
people who draws an impact on students’ life.

After from their parents, children also learn from their teachers too that their school is best, and why it should not be when it is Jhelum Breeze Army Public School (JBAPS), Baramulla.
