Jammu: JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla  on Sunday  claimed that the Modi government in the last 8 years has failed on all fronts and there was no place for democracy and the Constitution.”The country is reminded again and again of the eight failures of the BJP Government including Rising Inflation, High Unemployment, Suppression of democracy, Failure to safeguard National Security, Hate Politics, Historic fall of the Rupee, Economic Collapse and Erosion of social fabric,” said Bhalla. This was observed by former Minister while interacting with prominent persons of Mohalla Meenian ,Model Town area of Trikuta Nagar in Gandhi Nagar constituency as a part of his door to door compaign aginst BJP Govt’s wrong policies in different parts of Gandhi Nagar constituency. On the other hand, he said eight years since the Modi government, inflation and unemployment have hit the common man hard while his industrialist friends are making a windfall. The performance of BJP government in the last 8 years has been poor on all fronts. Inflation has skyrocketed, because of which the lives of the common man have been seriously impacted, unemployment rate is the highest in 45 years. With the rupee depreciating sharply, the economy is crumbling,’’ said Bhalla and alleged that in the last eight years, Modi’s industrialist friends have caused a lot of damage to the public through privatisation of key public assets. The wrong policies of the Modi government have stifled foreign investment in the country and the companies that had invested in India have also gone bankrupt. Demonetization and faulty implementation of GST destroyed small, medium and small traders. The Modi government in the last eight years has only used the central machinery to silence the leaders of the opposition. Religious issues like temples and mosques were raked up to sidestep the more real and urgent issues. Attempts were made to create a rift in the society and cause communal divide just like the divide and rule policy of the British,’’ claimed Bhalla.

Bhalla observed that  that LG  government has failed on all fronts and the BJP is insensitive towards the problems of the youth.Law and order, education and health are in very bad shape. There is resentment among people and the youths are angry. This is because the attitude of the BJP towards the problems of the youth is insensitive.”The youth raises its voice, but the police wields a cane to silence his voice. Now, no one believes in the hollow claims made to the youth about providing jobs ,” he said.He said the people in the BJP want to rule J&K by making people feel afraid. “This is highly condemnable in a democracy,” he said, adding that BJP, owing to its antics, has defamed J&K.Attacking the BJP, Bhalla said, “The government first announces vacancies in various departments, then comes out with advertisements regarding recruitment, and then claims about giving employment on a large scale.”But, there is a flaw in the intention of the BJP government, due to which there are question paper leaks of various examinations. And, the examinations are cancelled.

After coming to power by making tall poll promises, the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre had miserably failed on all fronts and hence it was deflecting the people’s attention by raising sensitive issues, said Bhalla.Bhalla said  BJP failed to fulfil the poll promises made in 2014 like generating two crore employment opportunities a year, controlling inflation and fuel price, ushering in corruption-free, transparent governance, etc., was following seven ‘guiding principles’ of unleashing fear, maladministration, data manipulation, divide and rule policy, making false statements, politicising war against terror and silencing dissents to deflect the people’s attention. The Congress agenda is development, communal harmony and welfare of all people. The so-called ‘double-engine’ government, driven by Modi, has failed on all fronts.

Innocent people are being killed or forced to leave Jammu and Kashmir, Bhalla said, adding, the government has failed on all fronts. There is an exodus of hope from Jammu and Kashmir. The Modi government, which speaks all the time of security, is missing,” he said. The Congress also said that the Modi government made tall claims about eradicating terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir but failed badly.Today everyone is aware of what is happening in Kashmir and is scared. The situation in Kashmir is getting worse, but the government seems oblivious of it,” he said. “The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is getting worse with every passing day and both Kashmir and Kashmiriyat are in danger. No one knows where the BJP, which has been doing politics in the name of Kashmir for years, is missing nowadays,” he said.

Bhalla said all the sections of society are completely fed up with the BJP’s performance in the Government, its anti-youth, anti-poor and anti-people policies. There was uncontrolled price rise and record unemployment in J&K.He lambasted the Union Home Ministry for failing to protect lives of innocent people in Kashmir and said   this will be seen as the worst phase in the Valley’s history. Bhalla  said while there is an atmosphere of panic and terror in Kashmir, BJP is  busy promoting movies amid the “targeted killings ” in Jammu and Kashmir. There have been targeted killings of Hindus, Kashmiri Pundits as well as Muslim security personnel because they are serving the country but the BJP is busy promoting their own image. He further hit out at the BJP for celebrating its eight years in power at the Centre when the situation in Kashmir is out of control . He said performance of any government is evaluated under five parameters including- social cohesion, internal security, economic development, international relations and commitment to institutionalism. But BJP Govt has failed in all the parameters.BJP government will fall when the people go out to vote in J&K elections whenever conducted.”The people of J&K want change as the BJP-led LG government has failed on all fronts,” Bhalla said.

BJP workers are agog with anxiety thinking with what face they should go to the people. There is a simmering discontent against Modi government all around the country as the party has so far done pretty little to boast of. It’s a part of the democratic process for any party to win election and come to power or lose the mandate and sit in the opposition. The parties, which believe in democracy, give momentum to the economic growth by safeguarding the interests of the common people, provide fillip to federal set-up of the democracy and that of the unity of the country, when they come to power. If the elections are lost, a party must act like standing guard at the gate protecting interests of the common masses. The history of the Congress Party is the story of adherence to the high moral and ethical pedestal in public life. A master dream seller that our PM Narendra Modi is virtually known for now was handed over the command of electioneering. coming to a pension who is master in marketing dream, who is expert in driving people into utopia through linguistic jargon and cajoling ‘Mann ki Baat’ camouflaging his real side of nurturing dictatorial thinking.
