Jammu: Dr. Amitabh V Dwivedi, Head, School of Languages & Literature, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra chaired a session and presented a paper in the conference titled 5th Arts & Humanities Conference, organised by International Institute of Social and Economic Sciences (IISES) at Uni. Of Copenhagen, Denmark.
In the session, titled ‘Literature, Media & Communication’ six presenters including two professors of IIT, Roorkee, namely Dr. Nagendra Kumar and Dr. Binod Mishra also presented their papers. Besides other presenters from the Polytechnic of Rijeka, Croatia; University of Hong Kong, China; and University of Venda, South Africa also presented their papers.
Dr. Dwivedi’ paper titled “Taxonomy of the Romantic Heroine: Interrogating Psychological and Religious Aspects in Braj Poetry” was appreciated by all. Overall, twenty-four academic papers were presented from 20 different nationalities.
At the outset, Prof. Robert Holman, Conference Chair & Director (IISES) welcomed all the participants and Marie Louden-Hanes of Uni. of Findlay, US, delivered her keynote speech on Winslow Homer and the Demi-Monte.
Moreover, the participants got a chance to visit Kronborg Castle and to Foteviken Open Air Museum in a conference tour. The conference was not only academic but also culturally enriching. Dr. Dwivedi thanked Prof. D. Mukhopadhyay, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, for allowing him to present the paper and showcase his research.
