SMVD University Conducted Viva Voce for Ph.D. Scholar via Video Conferencing

JAMMU:  Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University conducted Viva Voce for Ph.D Scholar via Video Conferencing. Pimmy Gandotra successfully defended her doctoral research, titled “Green Communication in 5G and beyond 5G Wireless Communication Networks” while working on “’Optimal Resource Allocation and Power Allocation in Wireless Networks”, in a PhD External Viva, conducted on 19th May 2020, following the latest guidelines set by the UGC.The candidate was working under the supervision Dr. Rakesh Jha, Senior Faculty, School of Electronics and Communication Engineering (SoECE), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra. 

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, Prof. RK Sinha, chaired the Committee, and congratulated the scholar, and the supervisor. The researcher told that this research would help achieving the objective of globally resource optimized energy efficient networks (GREEN), and regularizing technique for prolonging battery lifetime of mobile terminals. 

The other members of Committee were: Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. E. Muthuswamy; Head, SoECE, Dr. K R Jha; Head, Mathematics Dr. Uday P. Singh; Heads of various other Schools of the University, and other faculty members and research Scholars. The external examiner attended the Viva through Online Mode. 

The success of this Viva is also due to the fact that SMVDU is equipped with latest IT related and lab infrastructure with state of the art internet (wi-fi) connectivity spread across its massive campus in the lap of Trikuta hills.
