SRINAGAR: Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) organised a comprehensive AI-Robot–based Dental Screening Camp today at its Head Office, Karan Nagar, in collaboration with “Safe Hands Dental Center” Baghat, Srinagar, as part of its continued commitment to employee welfare and preventive healthcare.
The camp was inaugurated by the Commissioner, SMC, Faz Lul Haseeb, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and staff across various wings of the Corporation.
The initiative aimed to promote oral hygiene awareness, facilitate early detection of dental ailments, and encourage preventive healthcare practices, with special emphasis on sanitation workers and frontline staff.
The Dental Health Camp was organised under the supervision of Dr. Fauzia Habib, Health Officer, SMC, whose exemplary leadership, professionalism, dedication, and meticulous planning were instrumental in the successful conceptualisation, coordination, and execution of the programme. Working in close collaboration with the medical team from “Safe Hands Dental Centre”, Baghat, Srinagar, she ensured the smooth, efficient, and impactful conduct of the camp.
A team of specialist dental doctors and trained paramedical staff from Safe Hands conducted comprehensive dental check-ups and consultations using AI-robot–enabled latest dental screening technology, facilitating precise diagnostics, early identification of oral health issues, and personalised treatment guidance for the participants. The adoption of advanced AI-based tools marked a significant step towards integrating modern, technology-driven healthcare solutions within the Corporation.
The Commissioner, SMC, lauded the efforts of Dr. Fauzia Habib and the Safe Hands medical team, describing the initiative as a progressive and impactful measure towards strengthening employee-centric health interventions. He reiterated that employee welfare remains a top priority for the Corporation and reaffirmed SMC’s commitment to organising similar AI-enabled health and wellness programmes in the future.
Senior officers of the Corporation, including Joint Commissioner (Administration), Nuzhat Qureshi, Joint Commissioner, Suhail Ul Islam and other senior officials, were present on the occasion and also availed themselves of the AI-robot–based dental screening facilities.
