SAMBA: District Administration Samba today organised symbolic yatra and Tulsi Vivah at the Narsingh Dham Temple Nonath Samba to promote religious tourism in the District.
Coinciding with Dev Uthani Ekadashi also known as “Prabodhini Ekadashi,” the religious congregation was attended by Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma and SSP Benam Tosh and several other officers
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that Prabodhini Ekadashi is considered a significant day in Hinduism. “It is believed to be the day when Lord Vishnu wakes up from his cosmic sleep and Tulsi Vivah, the ceremonial marriage of Lord Vishnu with Tulsi, is also performed,” he added. He said that he considered himself fortunate to attend this auspicious event.
