Reaffirms Government’s commitment to enhancing learning outcomes in J&K
SRINAGAR: Minister for Education, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo today inaugurated two-day educational workshop organized at PM Shri High School Yaroo, D.H. Pora, under the aegis of PARAKH (Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development) initiative.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Sakeena reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to enhancing learning outcomes and strengthening the educational ecosystem across Jammu & Kashmir.
She appreciated the efforts of PARAKH and NCERT in building teacher capacity and promoting learner-centric education practices.
Highlighting initiatives like PARAKH, which prepare secondary school students for the World of Work (WoW), the Minister emphasized the importance of developing future-ready learners equipped with skills and competencies.
The Minister acknowledged the sincerity of teachers while urging further efforts to achieve better results. She added government is working with a strong focus on providing quality education and improved facilities across the Union Territory.
Director General School Education, Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo, in his address highlighted the objectives of PARAKH initiative and the significance of trade and vocational training in enhancing skill development.
During the event, the Minister also inspected various stalls showcasing innovative projects made by students
The workshop was aimed to create awareness among teachers, students and education stakeholders about competency-based learning, assessment reforms, and innovative pedagogical approaches aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The workshop saw participation from teachers, vocational trainers, students and education officers.
On the sidelines of the event, the Minister distributed regularisation orders to newly appointed CPWs, noting that more than 300 CPWs have been regularised under the current government.
